The UGent Machine Learning Group (ML@UGent) has been founded in 2008 with as main goal to bring together all UGent researchers and courses on fundamental and applied aspects of machine based learning.

The topics covered range from self-adaptive systems or systems that apply logical, statistical, probabilistic or other formalisms to the analysis of data, learning predictive models, or interaction with the environment, to neural information processing systems and their biological, technological, mathematical, and theoretical aspects. Applications range from computational biology, computer vision, speech processing, computational linguistics, information retrieval, medical systems, multi-agent systems and sensor networks.

This website presents links to all the members of the ML@UGent group, has a topical overview, presents a list of ML-related courses and has a calendar of events organized by the members of the ML@UGent group, or by the ML@UGent group itself. A public but managed mailing list for all UGent ML researchers is also available.

We encourage all master and doctoral students to subscribe to the mailing list as this will be used for informing about thesis subjects, call for papers, open research positions, interesting conferences and meetings, ...
